Relief materials, including tarpaulins, clothing, buckets, and a large number of pots reportedly meant for distributing Ganga water during the Gangasagar Mela, were recovered from Sree Bhumi Sporting Club in Ward No. 34 of the South Dum Dum Municipality on Friday. The recovery has drawn attention in the area following an operation conducted at the club premises.
According to local information, BJP supporters carried out the operation at around 2:00 PM and recovered the materials from inside the club premises. The items allegedly included relief supplies and equipment associated with Gangasagar Mela-related distribution activities. The recovery took place in the presence of party workers who inspected the premises during the operation.
BJP workers stated that all the recovered materials would be handed over to Lake Town Police Station for further action and investigation. The recovered items are expected to be examined as part of the process initiated following the operation conducted at the club.
